How I find books to read

Here are some ways I did and still do find books to read. Your ways may vary.

At the library:
1. I go straight to the graphic novels and manga section (usually the 741’s) for I am an comic aficionado.
2. When I was young, I would always go to the 808’s because I wanted to read books about writing.
3. I volunteer at my local library, and my task is to find books on the list so it can get sent to other branches in the system. This obligated me to visit the sections that I had never explored: the audio book section, the spindles of romance books (awkward…), the travel section (the 915’s), and of course, the children’s section.
4.

On the Internet:
1. When browsing books on Amazon, the search results and the “what other people viewed” get me curious.

Through word of mouth:
1. Probably only two people told me about a book they enjoyed, and I went and found reading it. I forgot what the titles were.

Experimental (silly absurd ideas I imagine):
1. Blindfold myself and walk around the library and pick a book at random.
2.
